Kings Nominated For 4 Awards

Nominees for the MJHL’s six major awards have been finalized, Commissioner Kim Davis announced today (Thursday).

No surprise that the Dauphin Kings are very much in the mix for the accolades.

The respective winners will be announced later this month. The Mike Ridley Award, given to league’s top point producer, will be known when the regular season comes to an end.

The award finalists are:

MVP – Steve “Boomer” Hawrysh Award

Jesse Sinatynski – Dauphin Kings

Jayson Argue – Swan Valley Stampeders

Matt Krahn – OCN Blizzard

Defenseman – Brian Kozak Trophy

Brenden Kotyk – Dauphin Kings

Yvan Pattyn – Portage Terriers

Steve Sorensen – Winkler Flyers

Hockey Ability & Sportsmanship – Lorne “Windy” Lyndon Trophy

Cole Brunet – Dauphin Kings

David Conrad – Selkirk Steelers

Derek Gingera – Winnipeg Blues

 

Coach of the Year – “ Muzz McPherson” Award

Marlin Murray – Dauphin Kings

Don MacGillivray – Winnipeg Blues

Blake Spiller – Portage Terriers

Rookie – Vince Leah Trophy

Corey Petrash – Winnipeg Saints

Justin Valentino – Swan Valley Stampeders

Tanner Jago – Winkler Flyers

Top Goaltender Trophy

Adam Harris – Selkirk Steelers

Jayson Argue – Swan Valley Stampeders

Matt Krahn – OCN Blizzard
