Three ‘s Of The Week

3. Lucas Bagel… I mean Nagel

Lucas Nagel, whose name was originally misspelled then corrected in a local media post calling him ‘Lucas Bagel’, was arguably Dauphin’s best defenceman in the Kings final regular season game on Saturday in Virden. He picked up an assist on Drake Bodie’s goal and was just solid overall. Nagel is not a guy that puts up points for the Kings, this year he has four assists. Nagel is a player that is known for his work ethic and is a guy that’s loved in the dressing room by his peers. He, along with Ryan Edevold, were recently given the Steve Antosko Memorial Award (Hardest Working Player).

2. Drake Bodie

A goal and an assist for Drake Bodie last week. The Thompson product continues to roll at a steady pace as the playoffs draw near. Bodie, who’s has 16 points in his shortened season after suffering an injury early on, has points in four of his last five games. Overall the 19 year old has seven goals and nine assists, which puts him tenth on the club in scoring.

1. Kirklan Lycar

Two goals from Kirklan Lycar Friday in Winnipeg wasn’t enough to help his team to victory, but he was one of Dauphin’s best players Friday night and all week for that matter. With the regular season over, Lycar leads the Kings in goals with 19. He’s sixth on the team in scoring with 26 points.
