Kings Par 3, AGM Around The Corner

June 10, 2015

Fresh off the MJHL Bantam Draft last weekend the Dauphin Kings are getting set for another busy few days.

It all starts on Saturday with the Dauphin Kings Par 3 Extravaganza. The event is a complete sell out and will be held at the Gilbert Plains Country Club, which is one of the best courses I have ever played on, and trust me, I’ve played a lot of golf.

For those who don’t know, the course in Gilbert Plains is converted to a Par 3 and golfers have a shot at loads of different prizes including awards for closest to the pins, hole-in-ones and mini games.

730 CKDM’s Al Gaines was signing autographs and rippin’ shots at last year’s event…

After the Par 3 is the Kings’ Annual General Meeting on Tuesday June 16th.

The AGM is open to the public and starts at 7pm.

The club says they have some good news to announce as they begin preparations for the 2015-16 season. I’ll let you speculate on just what exactly it is…

Of course after the AGM I’ll have all the details right here on my blog that night. So if you’re not cool enough to go to the meeting you can recap it here later in the evening!

I recently had a chance to sit down with Dean Cooley who does the Kings Finance and Business Operations with Travis Roos. I’ll also speak with him after the AGM on Tuesday, and that’s where we start this interview…
