Positives & Negatives

The Dauphin Kings picked up another pre season victory Tuesday night at Credit Union Place, beating the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 3-2.

The contest had some good and bad moments for the Kings, but that’s what the exhibition campaign is for. Dauphin’s power play had some battles early on but in the end it broke through with Chance Thomas scoring the eventual game winner. There were other small details on the ice that Dauphin will look to tweak as the start of the regular season gets closer.

The Kings other goal scorers were Brandon Zajicek and Zac Boyle. Connor Shaw took the win in goal for Dauphin, stopping 22 of 24 shots. The Kings had 15 shots according to online scoring.

On the man advantage the Kings and Wolverines both had goals.

The victory moves Dauphin to 4-0-1 so far in the pre season. They’ll try to stay undefeated in exhibition Friday when they host the Virden Oil Capitals at Credit Union Place. Game time is 7:00pm, after Friday the Kings visit Virden (7:30pm) to close out the pre season on Saturday. Then the regular season begins on Friday September 25th.

Thanks for following this evening…
