Another week, and another two wins in three tries for the Dauphin Kings as they picked up two victories over Waywayseecappo.

It was a week of ups and downs for the Kings who scored seven goals on the road Friday night in Selkirk, but still ended up losing 9-7. Give Dauphin credit though, they battled through a quick turnaround with a rough travel schedule and managed to rebound and grab a 4-2 win Saturday evening in Waywayseecappo.

This week is a quieter one for the Kings. They have just two games and they’re both at home. Friday they’ll battle the Winnipeg Blues and then on Saturday they’ll square off with the Portage Terriers. It’ll be just the third and fourth games played at Credit Union Place so far this season for the Kings.

Tune in to 730 CKDM on Friday afternoon from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for the One Hour Power Play Show LIVE from MR MIKES in Dauphin. Watch for a preview later this week!

Three ‘s Of The Week

3. Matthew Greening

Kings forward Matthew Greening is quietly going about his business as the MJHL season rolls on. He’s currently on a four game point streak which has seen him rack up two goals and six assists in the span. Last week he had a goal and four assists. The 18 year old is second in the league for rookie scoring with nine points (2G, 7A) so far this season. That total could be higher, remember earlier in the campaign Greening spent a few games on the back end when Dauphin was short D-men.

Greening made a solid pass from the boards to Trevor Kavanaugh Saturday night in Wayway…

2. Kirklan Lycar

After a quiet night Tuesday when the Kings beat Wayway 4-3 at home Kirklan Lycar came back to life on the weekend. The former Eastman Select grabbed two goals and three assists Friday and Saturday for Dauphin. His line which includes Drake Bodie and David Brumm combined for 13 points last week (6G, 7A).

1. Drake Bodie
