Greening Named MJHL Rookie Of The Month

November 3, 2015

Even though he spent a handful of games on the blue line, Dauphin Kings forward Matthew Greening has been named the MJHL’s Rookie of the Month for September/October.

Greening racked up four goals and 10 assists in 13 contests and is currently on a three game point streak (2G, 1A). Those numbers likely could have been much higher. The Dauphin product was arguably one of the Kings most consistent players in the first month of the season and played with a number of different players, keeping the same pace every night.

“It’s always great to see a young player have success and be recognized early in the season.” stated Kings Assistant Coach Marc Berry. “Matty has worked hard and caught on to systems and has been rewarded for that. He’s a highly skilled and highly competitive player that both himself and the coaching staff have high expectations for. We’re very happy for him.”

Greening and the Kings return to action Wednesday night when they visit the Portage Terriers. I’ll actually have an interview with Greening during Wednesday’s second intermission! Pre Game is 7:15pm, puck drop is 7:30pm.

Here’s some free stuff from Greening over the past few months…
